The 1st Lavabag I ordered had areas on the hemp that looked burned after microwaving. I microwaved for 2 min 45 sec-3 minutes. I mentioned the burned areas in my review and Steve emailed me to follow up. He recommended I place a glass of water in the microwave and offered to replace the Lavabag. I wasn't sure if a replacement was necessary but didn't know if the bag would be compromised with continued daily use. Steve sent me a new bag and I love it just as much as the first. I always add a glass of water to the microwave and have had no issues. It's a fantastic bag and I expect it will last for years to come. Steve provides great customer service and I appreciate it.

I have Raynaud's Disease and I've used heat bags containing corn for years. They end up smelling awful over time and I was looking for something that would last a long time. I use my new Lavabag on my cold feet daily while relaxing at night. I like it very warm and usually microwave for 2 min 45 sec-3 minutes. The hemp bag has started to turn brown like it is burning in several areas. I never did read a max time for microwaving but maybe 3 minutes is too long. Otherwise, I love the bag. It stays warm for around 20 or more minutes.

I love the size and weight of our new lava bag. We have 3 other heat bags filled with rice and other food products I ordered this because it was suppose to hold heat for a long time. We have been using it for about a week and find it does not hold heat like our other bags witch is disappointing. But overall the quality is good just wish it held heat longer.

Before Covid-19 my nurse neighbor gave me a lava sand bag from Germany but have totally been unable get another one for my sister. Wonderful! I found your product site and fast as a wink I ordered 2 bags. They are amazing! I have PAD(peripheral artery disease) which leads to blocked blood flow in my legs which leads to horrific muscle spasms and cold feet. I heat the lava bag 2-3 x during the nite which is very effective in increasing blood flow to my legs (and also keeping me warm). I love that the bag is weighted. The added pressure is a bonus to penetrate the heat to the muscles.

Love my lava heating pad!! I use it every month when on my period and it works great! I would be lost without it. I did have an issue with my bag getting burned in the microwave after only the third use, however, customer service was absolutely amazing. Steve replied promptly and sent me a new one for free, as well as, generously offered to send a replacement bag for the one that burned. I've been placing a small cup of water in the microwave with the bag ever since and have not had any issues. I highly recommend this heating pad.

After melting two heat pads in the microwave and having spilled rice dump all over I purchased a Lava bag. 4 minutes, the limit, it so hot you really need 2.5 which is what melted the others. Heat stays longer and the fact it’s weighted is awesome.

I really love the weight of the lava bag—it’s comforting. And I appreciate that it isn’t made using food, like rice and corn bags are. The two things that are inconvenient about it are: a) you have to put it on a plate to heat it up; the cover isn’t microwaveable and b) it doesn’t seem to retain the heat as well as my rice bag. I heat it for 2 minutes in high and find myself having to reheat sooner than I’d like. I do really love this product!

So I randomly bought a lava bag made by physio therapy at Tuesday Morning. I used it until the sand was falling out! Had to have another so I googled and found you guys! I have always loved and, sometimes made my own, heating pads for my family. None have ever come close to this product. It doesn’t smell, holds heat longer (without burning you) and the weight is an added benefit. The lack of smell is what drew my curiosity and it DOES NOT smell. But the quality of the product and great customer service will make me a repeat customer.

While I love the fact that there is no odor associated with this weighted heat bag, it does not hold the heat as long as my flax seed bag. It would be 5 stars if it didn’t lose heat so quickly.

I received the Lavabag as a gift. I hadn’t been able to keep my core temperature regulated and was always cold. Putting this in the microwave for two minute and placing on my back or stomach helped me stay warm. The bag is unscented so I don’t have to worry about strong scents or headaches. Also after the gym, it is great cold for pain to the knees. I love my Lavabag!

I wanted a heating pad that I could microwave and had no herbal smell. I found this company on google and started to read about it. Everything I read was exactly what I was looking for, so I decided to purchase it.... NO REGRETS! It keeps the heat for a long while and it’s perfectly weighted. I put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and put it in my bed while I brush my teeth. It keeps my side of the bed nice and warm like a cat would, only it doesn’t shed and you don’t have to feed it. It’s a win win. I was so pleased with it that I purchased another one for a friend as a Christmas gift.

I was searching for a heating sack that didn’t smell and you can heat up enough to actually enjoy it. All the other sacks filled with grains would never be hot enough (or burn if I tried to heat it up to a good temperature) and lose heat fast. I will have to update after using it more but this one spent 2 minutes in the microwave it feels great. In addition, lavehq correct me if I’m wrong, I’m pretty sure it can stay in the microwave up to 4 minutes without burning? Which would likely be too hot for my microwave anyway. But is this sack burn proof? Guess I’ll find out (or hopefully I won’t lol). It seems to retain the heat very well and the weight is amazing. I love this sack so much that I decided to write an in depth review on it, the only thing that wasn’t apparent was the lavender smell. I actually can’t smell lavender at all but the sack is so great it doesn’t really matter. I was hesitant at first because of the higher than usual price point for sacks but trust me it is definitely WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Plus you are supporting a small business :)

I liked how fast it heats, and that it doesn't smell. Unfortunately, it's very small, not easy to wrap around neck (to ease headache)...or to bend at all. Overpriced for the size and lack of options for use.

I absolutey LOVE this. As a massage therapist, I was looking to transition from rice bags to something more sustainable and sanitary. This product has a luxurious weight to it that my clients find to be like a weighted blanket, settling their nervous system. It can be moistened and added to a hot towel cabinet, though it does take longer than a towel given the density. It is also important to note it is a quality product, with a beautiful presentation. I got a lavacare heat pack years ago from a physical therapist. it worked really well for my back pain. When I needed a new one, I found they were no longer available. Nothing works as well, so I was very glad to have found Lavahq. It works wonderfully well for my back and shoulder pain. I like that it is not electric and holds the heat very well. It is very well made and the lava doesn't shift around. If you have any kind of muscle pain, get one of these lava packs!
