I have lower back pain. I heated it in the microwave. It was so nice snd warm on my back.

I love my Lavayoo and the cover too! It fits well over the Lavayoo and will keep it pretty clean. I do wish it was 1/4 or even 1/8 longer though because the Lavayoo does peak out a bit. Even a tiny button hole would be nice in the middle of one side of the open end so that I could fashion a fabric button to keep it closed.

We have purchased three products so far. We found they work much better than flax or seed products do. I gave my wife the first one for Christmas. She loved it so much we ordered the neck wrap too. Then we also gave a lava bag to a neighbor who lives around the corner from us. He is disabled and gets by on a very low income, so doesn't heat his house much. He heats his lava bag just before climbing into bed. He said it is wonderful to have the extra warmth at night.

Wow, what an improvement over all the rice, flax, mixed grains, etc. filled heating pads I have bought over the years! The lava stone holds heat very well, without the weird smell of various toasting grains or burning through the fabric. So much more pleasant overall!
