The bag is well made. It's weighty, odorless, and it does what it's supposed to do--just follow easy directions.

Second one I ordered. Had an issue with shipping and the customer service received was top notch. Definitely a good experience even though I didn't get the shipment as expected. The product itself is fantastic, but this review is to commend the customer support.

I love my Lavabags! I ordered my 3rd and 4th bags today. My children are always asking for mine so I thought I would get them their own. Customer service is always superb!

Pros - it does not smell of food or other products. Cons - it does not hold its heat as long as those other products, and requires more time to heat to the temperature I prefer a heating pad at. Overall, I am happier with this form of heating pad than the other types. Instead of putting a cup of water in the microwave each time, I have been dampening a microfibre cloth and laying it on top. This works and easier to deal with.

OMG I LOVE these! I saw a ad on Instagram for these heating bags. I fell in love with the Lavababies and had to order three for my grandchildren. They loved them, so I got two for myself. They work so much better than my flaxseed style. No more moist heat! Yay, and they stay heated for a hour! I might get me one more! They make great bed warmers. My feet get cold at night and this is perfect.

I love it. I heat it in the microwave and it lasts a long time. It feels great on my neck, back and shoulders.

I was really excited to try an different heat therapy. I had used so many rice bags over the years (and they always ended up smelling like burnt rice within 6 months), electrical heating pads, which would usually just stop working after a year, and hot water bottles (which would also break after a number of uses). Pros: I like that lavayoo bags are weighted. And since they are filled with sand mine conformed and shaped to my body (similar, but better to rice bags). Cons: Unfortunately, this list could be long but I’ll just list it’s two biggest problems. First, the bag does not hold in heat. I have chronic pain and migraines. I use a heating pad throughout the day, sometimes for 1 or 2 hours at a time and at night to help me fall asleep. I heated the lavayoo bag for 2 minutes (the maximum time given in the instructions). The bag was always comfortably hot at first, but within minutes it would become warm. And by 10 minutes it was not even hot. In my experience most heating pads remain consistently hot for 2-3 hours. Rice bags will remain hot for 30 minutes-1 hour. And hot water bottles hold heat extremely well, staying hot long past the 2 hour mark. I would not reheat the bag, even though it lost its heat so quickly. The second major problem was my lavayoo bag caught on fire. Fortunately it was in the microwave when it caught on fire, so I left it in the microwave till most of the fire burned out and then put it out quite easily. I received the bag last December, so I had the bag for less than a year. Because the bag was so bad at holding heat I usually just used it a night, and would use other heat therapies if I was in actual pain. Therefore I don’t think I was using the bag excessively. Summary: I couldn’t in good conscious recommend this bag to anyone. The task it is suppose to preform is simply inadequate when compared to other heat therapies. And it could start a fire.

I received the lavayoo heating pad in exchange for a fair review and I will say I really liked it. I used it on some of my clients and they liked the weight and heat of it. I love how easy it is to heat up and how long it stays heated. I love that it also has natural materials. Only con for me is the flexibility to use in some areas of the body. Other than that I plan on ordering more. Great job LavaYoo!

Heats nicely, retains it well, doesn't smell weird.

I love using the lava bag during my sessions! I incorporate into my deep tissue sessions! I put it all over the body from back to calf’s, abdomen! I love the look and how it feels! I love that I can hear it up in my towel warmer!

I’m a massage therapist and sometimes my clients that are avid runners need a little heat on their legs to warm up the muscles before we begin the work. The lavayoo weighted heating pad worked great for this. It retained the heat longer than my DIY rice sock lol!! No smell, warmed great in the microwave, small enough to store, and my clients have enjoyed working with it so far. I’m so happy with it! I will need to purchase one for my house .

I bought this because I haven't been able to find a good moist heat pack. I first tried the sand pack after freezing for a cold application. It worked okay but didn't hold the cold as well as gel packs. Then I tried it as a moist hot pack, hands down it is the best hot pack I have ever bought. Since moist heat was the reason I purchased it to begin with have have to give it 5 stars.

The Lava bag had taken the place of my electric blanket. I heat the 6-pound bag every night before bed and slip it under the top sheet and light blanket. My feet are no longer cold at night and I don’t need to mess with electric cords and controllers.

I just got my Lavabag in the mail today. I live in a very cold area (recently had a few frostbite warnings due to windchills) so this will be super nice to keep me warm throughout the winter. I microwaved it and brought it to a class that is always cold to test it out. It works great. It stayed warm enough to keep me comfortable during the entirety of the hour long class. I would love to see some Lavabag hand warmers in the future. I think it would be super useful on my cold walks to and from class.

It’s ok. I should have read it’s size. I need for it to fold over my hand and it does not. My fault for not reading. Although I did read it stays warm for 20 minutes, not really!

Everything I hoped it would be!

It is a little heavier than I predicted but I like the way it keeps heat!

My fieldcorn heat pack got over heated and smells! Saw the add, did some research and Voilà…. My LavaHQ Pad arrived is just perfect! Flexible, no smells, heats up well! Nice product! Will, correction, I have already recommended to friends!

We were given a lava bag as a gift, but my husband and I fight over it constantly so I decided to get us a second one! We love it! It gets really hot and stays nice and warm for a long time. We recommend them to a lot of our friends. Totally worth the investment!

For me, one of the most important attributes of the Lava bag is it doesn't contain a filler that will eventually rot or mold, which means I can consistently depend on this product for a very long time. Knowing you can wash it in the dishwasher is handy especially if you are one to use these frequently or share with family. I'd never attempt that with any other heat pack. The weight/heat combination is soothing and very therapeutic. Highly recommended!

My massage therapist placed this heated lava bag on my back after working on it, and it felt so comforting, deep penetrating heat; the weight and depth of heat of it is like no other heated pad I’ve experienced. I went home and ordered two of them for my massage practice! Best out there!!

Absolutely love my lava bags! Ordered both this one and the neck one. I use them every night to relax while falling asleep. The weight feels so comforting and they mold really well to the shape of my neck and back. So grateful that they do not hold an odor and can be washed. Keeps the heat

I have already two lava bag in The past. This was a gift to my mother in law.

The pro is that this gets hot very quickly and thankfully doesn't have any old microwaved food odor that grain heat pads have. It is much heavier though. I bought this primarily for menstrual cramps, and the heaviness actually helps ease out that. The big con, is that it does not stay hot for long, 20 minutes tops.

I love my lava bag so much in fact, I am using as I write this review. I pulled my lower back today moving furniture & I popped it in the microwave for 90 seconds and it is giving me such relief from my lower back pain.

I love my LAVA BAG!! I am currently pregnant and so I have a lot of lower back pain, I love using it for that. They stay warm for a long time, and never stink like the rice bags which I love.

I. LOVE. my. lavabag. I always had a rice bag because menstrual cramps are the worst and the warmth felt good. BUT I had a love-hate relationship with my rice bag because 1) it smelled bad & 2) I had to re-heat it every 5 minutes. My lavabag not only solves both of those problems! I heat it up and the warmth is perfect (doesn't burn me) and that lasts a long time. AND it adds a little weight which feels good on sore muscles too. I've started using it for my shoulder and my husband's neck; it is SO soothing. It is hearty too. This thing is going to last a long time. It is so worth it, I can't even tell you!!!!
