How to Use Your Recovery System (Super Simple)
- Heat or chill your Lavayoo (instructions below).
- Apply the Everything Pain Stick generously to the sore area.
- Place the warm (or cold) Lavayoo directly on top of the Pain Stick.
- Relax for 15–20 minutes and breathe and listen to your body.
This simple combination turns ordinary pain relief into real recovery.
Heating Instructions
- Microwave: Heat for approximately 2 minutes 30 seconds (adjust slightly for your microwave). Do not exceed 3 minutes 30 seconds.
- Oven: Place on a cookie sheet. Heat at 200°F for 20–30 minutes.
Cooling Instructions
Place the pad inside the included Ice Bag (or any sealed plastic bag) to keep out freezer odors. Freeze for 1–2 hours or store in the freezer so it’s always ready.
Washing & Care
Unlike food-filled pads, Lavayoo pads can be washed by hand or in the dishwasher.
- Dishwasher: Top rack, normal cycle.
- Drying: Place on a cookie sheet in the oven at 200°F for about 1 hour or until completely dry. Fine sand particles may come through the fabric — simply dust them off.

I had my old moist heating pad and I decided what would happen If I took my small Lavayoo and replace the old insert and put it in the belly of my kitty. It fits perfect! I’m a massage therapist and sometimes my clients that are avid runners need a little heat on their legs to warm up the muscles before we begin the work. We absolutely Lava our LavaYoo full back lava bag. It is so wonderful to drift off to sleep with that on my back. It is such a dream to use it while driving my ‘61 VW Bus. As you can imagine the seats in those things are not exactly plush. The heat from the LavaYoo bay is so soothing and really helps on those long drives.
I Love the Lavayoo! I needed to replace a warmer (we call it the weasel) that had some kind of hulls in it - I really had it for years and forgot what was in it but it finally got too smelly (burnt). My Lavayoo does not smell at all and it can get warmer because I can heat it longer in the microwave. I plan to get some more as gifts for beloved family members.

(Note that I had to remove the center two rows of stitches sewn into the bag in order for it to provide even support). 2-3 minutes in the microwave before bedtime, plus a pillowcase laid over the bag, and I'm good to go. Works much better than my homemade bag containing rice and flaxseed.

I was searching for a heating sack that didn’t smell and you can heat up enough to actually enjoy it. All the other sacks filled with grains would never be hot enough (or burn if I tried to heat it up to a good temperature) and lose heat fast. I will have to update after using it more but this one spent 2 minutes in the microwave it feels great. In addition, lavehq correct me if I’m wrong, I’m pretty sure it can stay in the microwave up to 4 minutes without burning? Which would likely be too hot for my microwave anyway. But is this sack burn proof? Guess I’ll find out (or hopefully I won’t lol). It seems to retain the heat very well and the weight is amazing. I love this sack so much that I decided to write an in depth review on it, the only thing that wasn’t apparent was the lavender smell. I actually can’t smell lavender at all but the sack is so great it doesn’t really matter. I was hesitant at first because of the higher than usual price point for sacks but trust me it is definitely WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. Plus you are supporting a small business :)

I like the heat pack for the most part, would be nice if the 3lb one was just a bit longer with the same weight to fit across your neck. Also needs some rope/cord on the ends that makes a loop to more easily position it on your back, my homemade rice packs have rope "handles" on either end. The heat pack does stay warm for quite a while and feels nice. I'd probably buy it again, but think I will try buying the sand kits and make my own sizes.

I used all three lavayoos, one for my back, one to cover low back and hip and one to cover thigh and knee. I was amazed that the heat lasted so long - probably close to an hour. I heated one up and gave it to my husband to use for his back. They do a good job of relieving soreness.

I purchased Lava sand to replace corn that was burnt in my corn baby bags. Lava sand is nicer and has no smell like the corn babies. I ordered the eye mask because I have migraines and these can be used hot or cold. The mask is great. I would definately reccomend.
Holds heat for a good amount of time. Love the lava sand and 100% cotton fabric. Will buy again!
